PRAYER FOR OUR BIKER FRIENDS and FAMILIES

  BFC / MM means
Motorcycle Ministry
PRAYER AND PRAISE
  • South Central BFCers, Jim and Becky are in the throws of a very difficult and heart-rending situation. Becky's mother died and within one week, her father died. Jim and Becky are in Canada dealing with all of these things. PLEASE, LET'S PRAY FOR HER, ANY RELATIVES, AND FOR JIM AS HE COMFORTS THEM ALL.
  • Here is the latest we have on Sarah, Marybeth's and Danny's daughter.  "Sarah went to the hospital expecting to have her antibody transfusion. While there, they received another diagnosis. As of Friday, Sarah was diagnosed with a very rare composite lymphoma called Grey Zone lymphoma. Sarah is receiving Rituxan as well as GVD chemo. The faith of this family holds true to the Great Physician. We can help by keeping up our prayer vigils for them.
  • Road Captain, Jerry, would like us to pray for his friend who attends his church.  David Bruce has developed M.E.R.S.A. in his knee. The knee is a composite of steel and plastic, and this complicates the treatment and healing.

Prayers are needed for River Cities BFCer, Larry (Dink) Daklton.  Dink had an accident as he was traveling to the Zanesville Bikerfest.  He suffered a compound fracture of his left leg.  He is still in the Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, OH, Room 719, and will probably be there until Tuesday.   The orthopedic surgeon repaired Dink's foot by putting plates and screws in it.  He is in a good deal of pain, and doing as well as could be expected, but there is some concern over the drainage from the wound.

WE ALWAYS REJOICE WHEN A BIKER GETS SAVED!

LINK UP MINISTRIES

WHEN BIKERS PRAYED...
A STREET MINISTRY WAS BORN

On Monday, May 17, 2010, Elder James Bond, Jerry Mullens, Bill Grimm, Jim & Bekkie Harper, Dan & Mary Beth Bond, Jimmy Armstrong, Ben Hamar and Charles & Belinda Worrell met up with Barry & Brenda Smith in Huntington, West Virginia to inspect and dedicate the new Link Up Ministries Outreach Building Located at 826 20th Street. This ministry came to be called LINK UP - East.

The building has served as the base of operations for coordinating efforts to meet the needs of the homeless, the addicted, the hungry and the Spiritually deprived people in the Huntington area.

After filling up on hot dogs, everyone had the opportunity to view a slide show presentation for the Link Up Ministry. Barry sat down with a map of Huntington to show exactly the area of ministry and explain the hazardous situations that currently exist.

It is a dark area that needs the light of Jesus. Once the map was anointed with oil, everyone laid their hands on it and prayed for boldness, safety and opportunities to reach out with the Love of Jesus to meet the needs of the lost and tell them about their Savior, Jesus Christ.

Neither the Bikers For Christ, nor the LINK UP Leaders had any idea that in only four years from the date of inception, that this little "behind-the-scenes" outreach ministry would eventually take the Good News of eternal life to many hundreds of people all over the city of Huntington.

In the winter of 2013-2014, two new Outreach Directors (Russ May and Brandon Roberts) took the lead at LINK UP - East, and freed up Barry and Brenda to follow the Spirit's leading to begin LINK UP - Workforce in the River Cities BFC Shop, Ironton, Ohio.  Discipleship Training, Life-Skills, and Evangelistic Outreach in the area of Coal Grove and Ironton are now on the radar, and the Lord is showing Divine Favor already.
